Below are represented Coats of Arms and Blasons, that have had in the past or still have a role in the historical events of the White Knights of Castrum Sepulchri (that is Seborga).
Coat of Arms or Weapon of Hugues de Payns, first Master of the Poor Militia of Christ (in Latin Paupera Militia Christi), the knighthood mostly known with the name of “Order of the Temple“. The coat of arms is worn by the knights of the Venerabilis Ordo Sancti Sepulchri on the white mantle, on the left side, under the shoulder.
Coat of arms of the Venerabilis Ordo Sancti Sepulchri. This Coat of Arms of the Patent Cross is used, as an alternative to the next one that we call the Coat of Arms of the Triumphant Lamb.
It is placed on the Labars and banners of the Order. It is a “patent” red cross which means that has eight points (eight like the Beatitudes) surrounded by the inscription “Venerabilis Ordo Sancti Sepulchri“. This is because Castrum Sepulchri or Castrum de Sepulchro were the names that in the past identified Seborga.
Coat of arms of the Venerabilis Ordo Sancti Sepulchri in which stands out the Lamb in a standing position (the Triumphant Lamb), with the head proudly facing backwards in the act of holding, with the front hoof, the banner of the Order. This emblem is engraved, as well as on the chlamydia of the General Master, also on the labars, banners and banners of the order, as an alternative to the previous one. Everything is surrounded by the motto “Testis sum Agni” that is “I am a Witness of the Lamb“.
Coat of arms of the Beltrutti of San Biagio: silver, the blue band loaded with three golden stars and accompanied by two black semifins. Crest: two branches placed in the cross of one, of palm on the right and the other of cedar on the left at the natural. Crown: Count. Motto: Defende Nos in Proelio.
